A city-based organisation Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh had organised a twelve day event called ‘Cultural Harmony 2010 in the city,which came to a close at the Bharat Natya Mandir on Tuesday.
The event had commenced on May 21.
The event was a cultural feast for the city art-lovers,as a number of programmes from diverse fields like music,drama,classical,kathak dance were presented at one place,said a press note issued here on Tuesday.
This was the 12 th year of the event and approximately 1,200 artists from different parts of the country including Maharashtra,Karnataka,Kerala,Assam,Gujarat and Delhi.
A child artiste from Chennai R Shriram,who has given a number of performances on radio in Chennai,presented raag Yaman,besides devotional songs on the sitar.
Pune-based artist Rajiv Arvikar accompanied him on the tabla .
Shriram has been taking music lessons from Sasi Acharya and Shivram Krisharao and has decided to pursue make a career in his passion,the note said.
