Man found dead,cops suspect suicide

An unidentified man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree near Samta building in D N Nagar Friday. Police said the deceased was around 25 years old but are yet to ascertain his identity.

Shebrao Narain Belose,a resident of Samta building,said,“I called the police around 6 am.” Belose said the body was first seen by people who were on a morning walk.

Some residents suspect foul play. Anil Rajpura said,“The rope is too thin to choke somebody to death. It seems to be a rope used to tie boxes together and could snap easily,” he added.

“A probe is on. The body has been sent for post-mortem,” said senior inspector Rajendra Chavan.
