UP Assembly session begins on July 31

The monsoon session of the state Assembly will be held from July 31 to August 13. Seeking supplementary grants and passing Bills to replace ordinances will be the main business before the House,which will have nine sittings. The business advisory committee,scheduled to meet on July 30,will formally approve the business of the House. The government will seek first supplementary budget for the fiscal 2009-10 on August 3.

The Principal Secretary (Assembly),Pradeep Kumar Dubey,said the supplementary budget will be tabled on August 4. As many as seven Bills will be tabled in the House during the session.

On the first day,the House will adjourn after a condolence session for BSP member Nathuram Kushawaha,who passed away recently.
