Police start interrogating Naxal commander

Sonbhadra Superintendent of Police Subhash Chandra Dubey told The Indian Express that Munna and Kol were taken in police custody from district jail at 4 pm today and a team of three senior officers,including an Additional SP (ASP) and deputy SPs,are interrogating them.

He said that they have been interrogating Munna about activities and movement of Naxal groups and role of various organisations who allegedly provide logistic support to the Naxalites.

He also said that Munna had been heading Naxal groups in three states — UP,Bihar and Jharkhand — for over a decade and he can provide important information about the source of funds and arms and ammunition for these groups.

The police will also question him about links of Naxal groups with the police force,politicians and locals who used to help them,he added.
