Govt shifts 4 IAS officers

The state government shifted four IAS officers on Thursday. According to the government order,Kamran Rizvi,who currently holds the post of commissioner (Sugarcane) and director (Urban Ceiling),will continue to hold the charge of commissioner (Sugarcane). M V S Rami Reddy posted as divisional commissioner in Bareilly will now join as director (Urban Ceiling). Sanjeev Kumar,commissioner (Gram Vikash) has been made the new divisional commissioner of Bareilly. Ram Bahadur,secretary and additional housing commissioner (Awas Vikash Parishad) has been asked to join as vice-chairman of Agra Development Authority.

Foot overbridge to be ready in 1 year

The LDA has started the construction of a foot overbridge on Lohia Path to connect Jiamau and B N Lahiri Road. Executive Engineer of LDA,Yogesh Pathak who is supervising the construction work said the bridge is set to be thrown open for public use within a year. The project is estimated to cost Rs 3 crore. The government had ordered the construction of the bridge in view of frequent accidents in the area,said an official.

BJP to celebrate Atal birthday across state

The BJP will organise a host of events across the state to mark the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25. On Friday the eve of Vajpayees birthday havans will be organised in Lucknows Indira Nagar and Alambagh areas. The next day,programmes will be held across the state,with senior leaders participating. While Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha,Arun Jaitley,will be in Lucknow,BJP state president Surya Pratap Shahi will be in Moradabad.
