Kolkata: To celebrate LGBT (Lesbian,Gay,Bisexual,and Transgender) Pride Month,American Center in Kolkata is organising a two-week programme to spread awareness on the rights of sexual minorities. The event will have a Pride Workshop to develop thematic artwork for Kolkata Rainbow Pride Walk on July 7.

Man dies in illegal firecracker unit blast

Canning: One person died and three suffered burn injuries following an explosion in an illegal firecracker unit at Nodakhali in South 24-Parganas district. The police said Jatan Naskar,a mason,died on the spot.
