Locomotives in steam-6
Matheran Light Railway employed 0-6-0T engines manufactured by Orenstein and Koppel. Four such locos worked on this line till diesel took over. The stamp issued on April 16,1993,features the first such loco ML 738 manufactured in 1905. The original maker number was 1766. This loco survives even today in the Parel workshop of Western Railway. The other three locomotives are at the National Rail Museum (MLR 739),Matheran railway station (MLR 741)) and Leighton Buzzard Railway (MLR 740)
