Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Saturday exhorted parents to bring their children up to five years of age for immunisation at polio booths on Sunday.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Saturday exhorted parents to bring their children up to five years of age for immunisation at polio booths on Sunday. “For making a strong nation,we must have strong children,which would only be possible with the success of the polio programme,” Dikshit said at a function after administering anti-polio drops to several children here.

Health Minister Kiran Walia said 8,000 polio booths would be set up in the city tomorrow to administer the polio vaccine to lakhs of children till five years of age. “Around 30,000 workers and employees of the Health department would be deployed at stalls to be stationed at railway stations,ISBTs,public places,major temples and metro stations.
