Artist Vinod K Goswami’s canvases are a riot of colour — vibrant orange, peacock blue and deep purple—- with the chief protagonist,Krishna of the Bhagwad Gita, highlighting the importance of nature. The ongoing show, titled “The Divine Aura”,at the Lalit Kala Akademi weaves in the philosophy of the Bhagwad Gita with the current stress on the environment. “The sole aim of my work is to show how material attachments and worldliness are the cause of all pain,” says Goswami,40.

He points to one work and explains,“It is a conversation between the sea and the river, where the sea says that the river destroys the big trees but spares the small plants in its way. The river answers that the small plants live by humility and that saves them,it is a rare quality in the world.” Goswami,an alumna of the Delhi College of Art,has 42 shows to his credit, both nationally and internationally, and his artwork have found their way into collections in France,Japan,Luxembourg, the US and UK .

The show continues till April 4. Contact: 23387242
