* While the state government puts the figure at little above 11 lakh,the police says Gurgaon’s population has crossed the 20-lakh mark

* An additional 4,000 personnel are needed in the city

* 2 lakh is the approximate number of private security personnel working in the city

* 7,500 FIRs have been registered across the 23 police stations in Gurgaon in the last one year

* Just 2 per cent of the cases registered involve instances of heinous crime
