Revealing more details of the questioning of the woman who was known to both Yadav and Kumar, police said the woman’s brother was unhappy with the fact she and Kumar wanted to get married.
“Earlier this month, Kumar along with his parents had gone to the woman’s residence with a marriage proposal. On hearing this, the woman’s elder brother attacked the parents while Kumar ran away after he was alerted by the woman’s elder sister,” the ACP told Newsline.
Meanwhile, despite forming five teams and raiding more than six locations — including Rajasthan and Goa — police said they are yet to find Yadav.
Police said they had received information that Yadav escaped to Goa the very night he murdered Kumar.
During investigation, police also found that the 18-year-old boy who accompanied Yadav to Sector-21 on the day of the incident had run away from home a month ago.
Police sources also said that the boy had paid Rs 30,000 to another boy to sit for the Class XII examination on his behalf but he was eventually caught.
