A constable attached to the City Armed Reserve police has been booked for allegedly outraging the modesty of director of a security company after a row in Rajagopalanagar Monday.
In her complaint,alleged victim Manjula Naidu said Parameshwar,a guard working in her company TOP Security Services,recently quit without notice. He called her Sunday demanding salary,following which he was summoned to the office on Monday. Parameshwar came to the office with his relative constable Gangadhar and three others.
He claimed TOP Security Services owed him Rs 13,000. There was a heated argument and the situation soon took an ugly turn with Gangadhar allegedly beating up Manjula. Gangadhar and the others were detained after Manjulas husband K J Naidu,who is Managing Director of the company,alerted Rajagopalnagar police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (north) Sandeep Patil said they had registered a case under IPC section 354. We will check CCTV footage of the incident and take necessary action. I have asked the police inspector to give a detailed report. I will send the report to the police commissioner, he said.
