The World No Tobacco Day 2013 was marked by the Generation Saviour Association at Law Bhawan,Sector 37.

The World No Tobacco Day 2013 was marked by the Generation Saviour Association at Law Bhawan,Sector 37.

The programme was given the theme,“Ban Tobacco Advertising,Promotion and Sponsorship”.

The aim was to create awareness among the younger generation about the harmful effects of tobacco.

N K Sharma,Chief Parliamentary Secretary,Department of Industry and Commerce,Punjab was the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion,Amteshwer Kaur,President of GSA said that nearly 2,200 people die every day in the country due to tobacco related diseases.
