The air of calm and joy that surrounds Pratiksha Apurva doesnt,in any way, overshadow her excitement. This week is especial for Apurva, the niece and disciple of Osho, whose works have been chosen for the Soul of Asia section at the 44th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. This unique concept was launched as an integral section of IFFI in 2012
and focuses on spirituality and mysticism in the Indian subcontinent.
The gallery attached to the film festival venue at Inox in Goa has been selected to showcase paintings for the first time. Curated by Sushma Behl,Apurvas exhibition titled Divine Art will be inaugurated by Hollywood actor and social activist Susan Sarandon on November 21. Apruva says,The art of staying in the moment has given me both peace and happiness. And this I received as a teaching and blessing from Osho. Our minds and hearts are so full of thoughts that its becoming impossible to be receptive unless we drop these bags of thoughts.
The fashion designer-turned-painter is no stranger to the world of mysticism and creativity, having exhibited 10 solo shows across the country. Apurva says she works while listening to the words of wisdom of Osho and the exhibition in Goa has works inspired by Oshos philosophies. Shankar Mohan,Director,IFFI says that Apurvas paintings will find a spontaneous response of connectivity from film lovers.
