More opium seized from CRPF HQ

Police on Friday seized 970 gm of opium on the disclosure of a CRPF havaldar who was arrested in the drug haul case at the station headquarter of the central reserve force in Pinjore earlier this week.

Earlier,two CRPF personnel including its sub inspector,Naresh Kumar,were arrested by police after the recovery of contraband from the CRPF station at Pinjore. Station House officer Pinjore police station,Raj Kumar,said police made fresh recovery in the case. “The recovery was made on the disclosure of Gurmail. The fresh recovery of 970 gm of opium was made by us and it was recovered at a nullah outside the CRPF station,” he said.

Police said that the CRPF officials had laid a trap after suspicion on two personnel who have been arrested. SHO Pinjore said that police is looking into how deep the racket was and who were the people whom CRPF personnel were supplying the contraband.
