MC to resume road carpeting work,paver blocks to be fixed

Carpeting of roads and fixing of paver blocks were among a number of agenda items approved by the Municipal Corporation’s Roads Committee in a meeting on Friday. The work for carpeting of roads had come to a standstill during the monsoon.

In the meeting held under the chairpersonship of Jannat Jahan-ul-Haq,estimates for various works were approved. The V-5 roads in Sector 10 would be carpeted for around Rs 24 lakh while carpeting work for roads in Mariwala town in Manimajra also received approval.

Paver blocks,on the other hand,will be laid in Sector 19,Sector 23,Dhanas,Motor Market Manimajra,Bapu Dham and Buterla.
