GMSSS-35 record win
*Chandigarh: Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 35,reached the final of the Under-16 Inter School Cricket for boys after recording a hard-fought three wicket win over St Anne’s School,Sector 32,pn Wednesday. Batting first,St Anne’s made 70 in the allotted overs. Pukhraj top scored with 20 runs. In reply,GMSSS-35 achieved the target for the loss of seven wickets in 19.3 overs. Meanwhile,GNPS-36 also reached the final after defeating DAVSSS-8 by four wickets. Batting first,DAV-8 scored 121 for 7. In reply,GNPS achieved the target in the last over.

Sagar stars in Shri Shri Academy win
*Chandigarh: Sagar was the cynosure of all eyes as he starred both with the ball and bat during Shri Shri Cricket Academy’s facile nine-wicket win over CL Champs in the First Lal’s Cup Cricket Tournament for U-14 being organised by BTS Cricket Academy,Sector 48,on Wednesday. He took two wickets and then returned to hit a match-winning knock of 64. CL Champs won the toss and elected to bat first. Their decision could not bear fruit as CL Champs could muster only 109 for 4 in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply,Shri Shri Academy finished with 110 for the loss of just one wicket in 11 overs.

GHG Khalsa College drub PG GC 6-0
*Chandigarh: Buoyed by a brace by Dharampal,GHG Khalsa College,Gurusar Sadhar scored a 6-0 win over Post Graduate Government College,Sector 11,Chandigarh in a match of the Panjab University Inter-College Hockey (Men) Tournament being played at Hockey Stadium,Sector 42 on Wednesday. In another match of the day,SCD Government College,Ludhiana scored a 5-1 win over GNN College,Doraha. It was a narrow win for LLR Government College,Dhudike,as they scored a 2-1 win over Panjab University Campus,Chandigarh. In ball badminton (Men),Dev Samaj College for Women,Chandigarh scored a 2-0 9(29-3,29-3) win over GGS Khalsa College for Women,Jhar Sahib. In cricket,Guru Nanak College,Ferozepur Cantt. Scored a 113-run win over Post Graduate Government College,Sector 46.

Table tennis meet from today
*Mohali: Manav Mangal School,Mohali,will organise the CBSE Cluster XIII Table Tennis Tournament from October 21 to 23. The tournament will be held in three categories: Under 14,Under 16 and Under 19 for boys and girls. As many as 37 schools with 96 teams in different age categories with around 400 participants from Chandigarh,Punjab,Haryana,Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh,will take part in the tournament.
