The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday put the UT Administration on notice while acting on a petition filed by Vivek High School,Sector 38.
The school has filed the petition challenging the orders of the administration of cancelling the lease of 5.92 acres of the land which was allotted to Bhagwant Singh Charitable Trust that runs the school.
The petitioner apprised the court that the Administration cannot resume the land as it has removed all the violations.
The order of the UT Advisor K K Sharma however read that the trust was given enough time to remove the violations, but to no avail. According to the inspection, dated February 18,out of 18 violations,11 were fresh violations.
Earlier also,in the year 1993,the UT Administration had pointed out violations and then cancelled the site, and later, the high court had asked the trust to remove unauthorised construction before June 30,1997.
When the trust failed to remove the violations till date, the Estate Office proposed the cancellation of the land lease.
