On the 79th birth anniversary of founder of Pracheen Kala Kendra,Guru Madan Lal Koser,the Kendra is organising an evening of Punjabi songs featuring Dolly Guleria. Recipient of several awards and titles,Dolly is an acclaimed artist who is carrying forward the legacy of her mother Surinder Kaur,the Nightingale of Punjab. Dolly started her training in classical music at the Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya Delhi,where she also learnt Kathak and has also been the disciple of Kundan Lal Sharma of Patiala Gharana,Panna Lal and Shri Chotey Lal ji and later Iqbal Ahmed of Delhi Gharana. Under the guidance of her Ustad ‘Khan Sahib’ Abdul Rehman Khan,she released her solo debut album in Gurbani in ragas and later albums of Punjabi folk songs,poetry of Shiv Kumar Batalvi,Bhai Veer Singh and other renowned writers. Enjoy the melodious voice of Dolly on June 20 at Punjab Kala Bhawan at 7 pm.
