In a complaint to the Election Commission,the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) has demanded registration of criminal cases against Congress MP Deepinder Singh Hooda,HPCC president Phool Chand Mullana and his son-in-law and Panchkula Deputy Commissioner R K Kataria for allegedly indulging in corrupt practices and blatant violations of the code of conduct to benefit the ruling party in Lok Sabha elections. The INLD alleged that Deepinder Hooda announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh for the construction of Sri Krishan Dharamshala at Jhajjar on March 29 after enforcement of the code of conduct. The party has also complained against HPCC president Phool Chand Mullana and his son-in-law R K Kataria,who is also Chief Administrator of the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board,Panchkula,apart from being the DC.
They have alleged that Mullana and Kataria misused the Mansa Devi Temple for political benefits. The HPCC banner as well as a banner displaying the names of Kataria and Mullana has been prominently displayed at the temple,it was alleged. INLD also alleged that the HUDA ground of Sector 5,Panchkula,was being used to repair Congress propaganda vehicles in a temporary workshop set up illegally.
