High Court to hear Amin’s bail plea next week

After the Sessions Court rejected his application for temporary bail,suspended cop Dr Narendra Amin has moved the Gujarat High Court challenging the Sessions’ Court verdict on his bail petition. Amin’s counsel Samir Dave said the further hearing on his client’s application will be either on August 10 or 11.

Amin who is in Sabarmati Central Jail for his alleged role in connection with the Sohrabuddin Shaikh fake encounter case and the subsequent killing of his wife Kausar Bi,had earlier requested the authorities to provide him a computer inside the jail to facilitate him pursue a computer course. Though,when his plea to have a computer inside the jail was rejected,he moved a bail application for three months to appear in the examination for the said course. The Additional Principal Sessions Judge had rejected Amin’s bail application.

Amin’s counsel Dave said the present petition is to challenge the Sessions Court’s verdict on Amin’s bail application. This time,Amin has demanded temporary bail for 20 days to appear in an online examination.
