Cops from Vadodara and Ahmedabad roped in as two Surat teens go missing

A day after two teen boys went missing from their homes at a residential complex in the city’s Pal area, the Surat Police said on Wednesday that they have contacted the police in Vadodara and Ahmedabad for help.

One of the boys, his family said, had left a note. It stated, “I am leaving the house to become a successful person and I will return after 10 years”.

Both the boys studied in the same school.

Pal police Inspector K L Gadhe said, “The boys did not take anything valuable from their homes while leaving. They were last spotted at the Bharuch railway station as they were taking a train. We are coordinating with the police teams of Vadodara and Ahmedabad to get the locations of the children.”

“One boy had left a note, highlighting the reason for leaving the house… We are also taking help from different agencies of Surat city to locate them,” the officer added.

The police are yet to identify the teens. Their photos are said to have been shared with police stations in Surat, Navsari

and Bharuch.

On Tuesday, after returning from school, the boys had lunch at their homes and stepped out together, said police. “Their tuition teacher informed their parents after 4 pm that they did not come to attend classes,” said an officer.

The parents searched for them but failed to find them and then approached the police.

The police, which on Wednesday visited their school, have also checked CCTV camera footage of the residential society in Pal where the boys lived. They were found walking out of the society in the footage, said the officer.
