Gur ends flat in thin trade

The wholesale gur market ended flat today as gur prices moved in a tight range in the absence of buying against adequate stocks.

Traders said absence of buying support from stockists and local parties against easy availability of stocks mainly kept wholesale gur remain flat.

The following are today’s quotations per quintal: Gur chakku 3,200-3,250,pedi 3,300-3,400,dhayya 3,400-3,500 and shakkar 3,500-3,600.

Muzaffarnagar: Raskat 2,750-2,800,chakku 3,150-3,200 and khurpa 2,800-2,925. Muradnagar: Pedi 2,950-3,000 and dhayya 3,000-3,050.
