Almond up on fresh buying support

Almond (California) prices rose by Rs 200 to Rs 12,500 per 40 kg and its kernel also moved up to Rs 430-450 from previous close of Rs 420-440 per kg,respectively.

Marketmen said apart from restricted supplies from overseas markets,increased demand from stockists and retailers led to a rise in almond prices.

The following are today’s quotations (per 40 kg): Almond (California) Rs 12,500 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 7,000-8,000; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 3,200-3,500; Abjosh Afghani Rs 7,000-18,000.

Almond Kernel (California) Rs 430-450 per kg,Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 350-420 per kg.
