Petronas lubricants ties-up with Maruti Suzuki

In its first development, Petronas has come out with a customized Syntium 3000 SZ MGDO 5W40 lubricant for Maruti Suzuki’s diesel vehicles.

Malaysian oil and gas company Petronas has paired up with Maruti Suzuki as the car maker’s genuine lubricant partner. The partnership will see Petronas gain access to Maruti Suzuki’s entire sales and service network. Petronas is going to benefit immensely from this partnership as Maruti Suzuki has the largest network in India, which is spread across 3100 plus service outlets in the country.

In its first development, Petronas has come out with a customized Syntium 3000 SZ MGDO 5W40 lubricant for Maruti Suzuki’s diesel vehicles. The lubricant is claimed to be formulated for the newer generation of diesel engines and is engineered for full service life in extended drain conditions. The Syntium oil is developed to minimize the tendency oil thickening at high operating temperatures, reduces wear and tear for prolonged engine life, optimizes the engine’s performance while also bringing down the frictional losses and wear during cold start-ups.

Petronas is one amongst the top 15 oil lubricant companies worldwide. Besides engine lubricants, the company also manufactures and markets transmission fluid, anti-freeze and functional fluids for land transportation, machinery and other industrial equipment.
