Mumbai, Feb 25 (ANI): After walking out from Pune’s Yerwada jail, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt on Thursday visited Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak Temple, where his fans in large number gathered to see him. 56-year old Dutt was released after being jailed for 42 months in connection with an arms case related to the 1993 Mumbai blasts on Thursday morning. The actor walked out of jail around eight months ahead of the completion of his term after a reprieve was granted to him on grounds of his good behaviour.

Pune, Feb 25 (ANI): Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who walked free from the Yerawada jail on Thursday morning said there is no easy walk to freedom. He also praised his fans and said that he is there because of the support of his fans. Dutt, who served 42 months under the Arms Act in the 1993 Bombay blast case, kissed the ground and saluted the Yerawada jail and policemen standing outside before moving out of the main gate. His wife Manyata Dutt and filmmaker Raj Kumar Hirani were present to receive him. Dutt waived hands at the fans waiting outside the jail complex. The 56-year-old actor went to Pune airport and is likely to board a chartered plane for Mumbai. Dutt will offer obeisance at the famous Siddhivinayak temple in.

Mumbai, Feb 12 (ANI): The 26/11 Mumbai terror attack convict David Coleman Headley’s 5th day of deposition began on Friday. Deposing before a special Mumbai court through video conferencing, he revealed that Lakhvi told him that 26/11 attack will be revenge to all bomb blasts planned by India in Pakistan. He further said that he visited Siddhivinayak Temple, made a video of the premises and purchased 15-20 sacred thread for 26/11 attackers so that they would look like Indians. He also told that he chose Cuffe Parade as the landing site for 26/11 attackers after visiting Gateway of India and Cuffe Parade. When he returned to Pakistan after his Mumbai visit from April 9th-15th, 2008, he met Sajid Mir and Major Iqbal to show them video of possible landing sites in India. He told the court that he was in Pakistan from April 15 to June 30, 2008, but during this period somewhere in May, he visited New York and Philadelphia.

Trivandrum, Feb 11 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday asserted that the revelations made by David Coleman Headley before a Mumbai special court has exposed Pakistan, adding that New Delhi would still prefer cordial relations with Islamabad. Deposing from an undisclosed location in the US, Headley had so far told the special court that the ISI was helping different terror outfits in Pakistan and was providing financial, military and moral support. Headley, who had conducted recce of the places in Mumbai which were attacked by 10 LeT terrorists on November 26, 2008, also revealed that the outfit had initially planned to attack a conference of Indian defence scientists in Taj Mahal Hotel. He also said he had also conducted a recce of the famous Siddhivinayak Temple and Naval Air Station on directions of LeT commanders.
