The submission was made by the Delhi Police in an affidavit filed in response to the plea moved by one of the petitioners, Nabila Hasan, in the batch matter seeking the preservation of CCTV footage for all cameras only inside Jamia Millia Islamia University as well as adequate monetary compensation to all those detained or injured by the police and paramilitary forces.

Refusing to expunge the trial court’s remarks at this stage, the HC noted that the next date of the trial was in April, and no interim orders were required. The police’s plea is listed for next hearing on March 16.
