Amid the anti-government protests in Tehran, where at least 544 people have been killed, Iran’s Ambassador to India Mohammad Fathali on Monday dismissed news that the Iranian police have arrested 10 Afghan and 6 Indian nationals.
A tweet on X has claimed that “Iranian police have arrested a cell comprising 10 Afghan and 6 Indian nationals, along with their Iranian accomplices.”
Taking to X, Fathali replied to the post saying that the news being circulated on some foreign accounts is “totally false”, urging people to get news from reliable sources.
“The news circulated on some foreign X accounts about Iran’s developments, is totally false. I request all interested people to get their news from the reliable sources,” he wrote.
