Bengaluru, Feb 26 (ANI): A student of Bengaluru’s design school spent harrowing 45 minutes in a BMTC bus after a crew member, along with a few policemen and a mob, allegedly locked her inside the bus near Yelahanka police station. The crew, encouraged by the policemen and mob, allegedly told the woman they would release her only if her friend, who had fled after a clash with the conductor, returns. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) PS Harsha on Friday said they have arrested the conductor on the basis of FIR filed by the girl. He further said the conductor has also lodged a complaint against the girl and investigation is going on.

Ghaziabad, Feb 11 (ANI): Ghaziabad Police on Thursday confirmed that they have launched a search operation for a 23-year-old woman, who her family claims was allegedly abducted by an auto driver on Wednesday night. Superintendent of Police Salman Taj Patil on Thursday said that Dipti Sarna, who works in an office in Gurgaon, Haryana, may have been abducted by the auto driver from the main bus stand at Ghaziabad. He said that Dipti's family has filed a case with the police station at Sihani Gate in which they have said that she was speaking to a friend on her mobile phone and suddenly started shouting as the auto driver took a wrong route. Udaipur (Rajasthan), Jan 26 (ANI): The Rajasthan Government on Tuesday rubbished reports of a clean chit being given to Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra in the Sky Light Hospitality case and said that the investigation in this regard was still on. Rajasthan Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria informed that he had personally talked to case investigating officer Ram Avatar, adding that there is no report in this regard. Kataria further said that the investigating has not yet finished and therefore it would be inappropriate to comment on the matter.

Ujjain, Jan 19 (ANI): Lokayukta Police on Tuesday conducted raids at three different residences belonging to Basantilal Sharma in Ujjain regarding disproportionate assets. The incident came to light only on Tuesday when the child complained about the man to her mother. However, the accused refused to say anything on the matter. Four Maoists arrested with cash, arms and ammunition in Jharkhand

Chatra, Jan 12 (ANI): The Jharkhand Police arrested four Maoists with cash, arms and ammunition during raids conducted in Chatra district. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted raids at several places in Chatra district and arrested four people associated with a Maoist splinter group from two spots and recovered rupees 15 million in cash. Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Upendra Kumar, said three rebels were arrested from a hideout while another was nabbed from a different location. The police also seized huge cache of arms and ammunition from the ultras. Kumar added that the recovered money was collected in form of levy from shopkeepers, contractors and businessmen. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the facts.
