Delhi court acquits ex-Cong MLA Asif Mohd Khan in 2010 rioting case, raps investigating officer for ‘deep slumber’

Pulling up the Delhi Police for a 12-year delay in filing the chargesheet, the court said that it was only in 2021 that the Investigating Officer (IO) “woke up from deep slumber and initiated an investigation to collect the evidence regarding the identity and presence of accused persons.”
