Asha Parekh: A Cinematic Legacy Veteran actress Asha Parekh, born October 2, 1942, enjoys an unparalleled position in Hindi cinema. Her career, spanning over four decades and encompassing more than 85 films, solidified her status as one of the industry's most celebrated figures. Parekh's debut as a child artist in Maa (1952) paved the way for a lead role in Dil Deke Dekho (1959), launching her into stardom. The 1960s and 70s witnessed her reign as a leading lady, delivering memorable performances in films like Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai, Teesri Manzil, Love in Tokyo, Upkar, Kati Patang, and Caravan.
