When the Twitter team decided to increase the character limit of tweets from 140 to 280, people on social media went to town — some by writing tweets that did not seem to end, others by coming up with funny retorts to the new change and the rest by slowly trying to wrap their heads around. So joining the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Chetan Bhagat, film-maker Shirish Kunder too tweeted out. An active social media personality, Kunder wrote, “If you can’t be funny in 140 characters, #280characters will only make it worse.” Known for his witty and sarcastic take on things, Kunder was evidently not very different this time either. But when a troll decided to photoshop his picture to make him look like a woman, the film-maker decided to set things straight for the guy.
Responding to his tweet, Twitter user ‘Abracadabra1263’ decided to shoddily photoshop Kunder’s picture to look like a woman wearing purple shade lip colour and a pink bindi and caption the pic thus: “Even 1,000 disgusting rotten rhetoric words cant enough to describe u…” But it is Kunder’s clapback that took the cake clearly. “Am I supposed to feel humiliated because you turned my picture into a woman?” he wrote back, earning the praises of many and generating nothing further from the Twitter user with a magic spell as his user name.
