Much like astronaut Scott Kelly — who had shared over 1,000 pictures during his one year in space — UK astronaut Tim Peake often shares pictures of Earth from the International Space Station. On April 25, he shared a picture of the Scottish city of Edinburgh on Twitter, which immediately went viral on social media.
“The great city of #Edinburgh catching some good weather today #Scotland,” he wrote.

However, people from the Scottish capital responded that the weather was rather cold. In the picture that has been retweeted over 3,500 times, people pointed out Arthur’s Seat, Forth Bridge, Queensferry Crossing.
The spaceman is currently on his six-month tour as a crewman in ISS. Peake is the first British-born astronaut on the international space station and has shared pictures of Scotland in the past as well.
