LIVE: PM Modi arrives in Srinagar, announces package for renovation of houses damaged by floods

Prime Minster Narendra Modi on Thursday announced relief packages for the people affected by the floods in Jammu Kashmir. PM  Modi announced Rs 570 crore for renovation of houses damaged by floods in the state. He also announced Rs 175 crore for renovation of six major hospitals affected by floods. Earlier in the day, he met soldiers posted on the heights of Siachen Glacier to send the message that all Indians stand shoulder-to-shoulder with them. Here are the highlights:
