1984 anti-Sikh riots: Delhi court orders fresh probe against Jagdish Tytler

A Delhi court on Friday ordered fresh probe against Jagdish Tytler in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, rejecting the clean chit earlier given by the CBI to the Congress leader.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) SPS Laler refused to accept CBI’s closure report, ordering the agency to further probe the role of Tytler in the riots in which over 3000 people from Sikh communtiy were killed.

The CBI had earlier told the court that Tytler “was not involved” in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case relating to an attack on Gurdwara in Pulbangash.
