Bahu Hamari Rajnikanth is about emancipated women: Sonali Jaffar

For Sonali, who has also penned the show, the inspiration flowed from today’s independent women of India. “Our aim is to show how women are supposed to be taking care of housework and their job and everything else. They are multi-taskers and a lot is expected from women. It is almost like female Rajinikanth,” said Sonali who has dabbled into sitcom for the first time with the show.

While the hero of the serial is Karan V Grover, the heroine is a debutant named Ridhima. When asked the reason behind choosing a newcomer for the title role, Sonali said, “I wanted someone without any previous baggage or image attached to her.”

Bahu Hamari Rajnikanth is going to premiere tonight.
