Riteish Deshmukh and Sajid Khan’s new chat show Yaaron Ki Baraat had its ‘cracker for the opening episode’ when original Dostana icons Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha came together.

Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha have worked together in several hits like Kala Pathar, Dostana and Shaan but they have never really been the best of buddies. In the 70s and 80s, both the actors were doing plenty of films, many together as well. According to industry insiders, their differences started during the movie Dostana. But Riteish Deshmukh and Sajid Khan’s new chat show Yaaron Ki Baraat, where several Bollywood celebrities are set to feature, had its ‘cracker for the opening episode’ when original Dostana icons Big B and Shotgun came together.

The Twitter pages of these celebs are flooded with the images and moments from the sets of the chat show Yaaron Ki Baraat. The Housefull pair managed a coup of sorts and brought the two legends together after 35 years and for the first time in the history of television.

Riteish Deshmukh shared an image and wrote, “Cracker of an opening episode #YaaronKiBaraat. OriginalDostana. Iconic Friendship.Thank you Sirs @SrBachchan @ShatruganSinha #DreamComeTrue”

Shatrughan Sinha also shared his feelings and posted, “Great honour to work once again with long lost best friend @SrBachchan. Hoping to recreate history on @SimplySajidK & @Riteishd TV show.”

He added, “Yaaron Ki Baraat” on Zee. Promises to be an engaging & enjoyable show in the coming weeks. Brace yourselves for @SrBachchan and me..”

At the show, Riteish and Sajid also got the chance for saying KHAAMOSHH and this was not a dubsmash but with the original man himself.

Sonakshi Sinha, who wasn’t aware of her father going to the show, felt left out and even ‘threw a tantrum’.
