After Vidya Balan opted out of Sujoy Ghosh’s Durga Rani Singh, Kangana Ranaut was finalised for the film. But, since the role demanded that the actor attend workshops, Ranaut who had already signed up for a scriptwriting course in the US, had to opt out of the project.
