Ever since the news of lesser known actor Jackky Bhagnani’s ‘Youngistaan’ making it to the Oscars as an independent entry from India for the ‘Best Foreign Language Film’ made news, Twitter has been abuzz about it. Emboldened by this entry, Kamaal R Khan has also decided to make Deshdrohi 2.
‘Youngistaan’, a remake of the Telugu film ‘Leader’, was a flop at the box office. It has been sent as an independent entry from India but the final Oscar nominations will be released in January 2015.
Kamaal R Khan wrote on Twitter: “My friend @jackkybhagnani’s film #Youngistaan gone to #Oscars so now I have all the reasons to make #Deshdrohi2 n win the #Oscar”
When I was a lil girl I used to practice my #Oscar speech with my pencil box. Not interested anymore. Lost all respect for the Oscars. Bah
