Sonam Kapoor: I’d give Kangana Ranaut the award, if I was a jury member

Sonam said that had she been a member of the jury, she would have definitely given the awards to Kangana.

Sonam Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut “The fact that I was nominated was more than enough for me. Kangana Ranaut gave a far more mature performance in Queen. Her role was far more resonant than mine. If I was a jury member, I’d give her the award,” said Sonam Kapoor.

Sonam Kapoor, who was nominated in almost all award functions for her comic role in the movie ‘Khoobsurat’ did not win a single award this season. But the actress, who is known to talk her heart out, has appreciated Kangana Ranaut for her performance in ‘Queen’. Sonam also went on to saying that had she been a member of the jury, she would have definitely given the awards to Kangana.

In an interview with DNA Sonam said, “The fact that I was nominated was more than enough for me. Kangana Ranaut gave a far more mature performance in Queen. Her role was far more resonant than mine. If I was a jury member, I’d give her the award.”

Sonam has also praised her contemporary Priyanka Chopra, for her role in ‘Mary Kom’.

Talking about Tabu being nominated for supporting actor’s role in ‘Haider’, Sonam said: “By no means was she (Tabu) the supporting actress in ‘Haider’. According to me the part played by Shraddha Kapoor was the supporting role. Tabu was one of the film’s leads.”

After four years of dissapointment at the award shows, we think that luck might shine on the actress this year as she has ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ opposite Salman Khan in her kitty.
