Rajkumar Hirani received a grand standing ovation on his recent visit to Warwick University in London. The ace director was invited to take a session on any subject related to film-making, and he chose to talk on film editing.

Rajkumar Hirani feels that editing plays a crucial and important role in film-making but the profession is undervalued. He also added that the industry needs good editors to flourish and shape the Indian cinema.

He believes that an editor can completely take over the film using his creativity and imagination to give an extraordinary result. Students, who are seeking a career in film-making, need to learn and have the basic knowledge about film editing.

Rajkumar Hirani, who is also a trained editor, feels that editing can give a complete new vision to direct a film with sensibilties of basic technicalities which makes it more exciting .

The Indian director-editor had a great session with the university students and was very happy to share his film-making experience with all of them.
