PM Modi is my leader: Sanjay Joshi

During his tenure as the Gujarat chief minister, pressure from Modi had reportedly kept Joshi away from BJP national executive.

Praising the functioning of the NDA government at Centre, BJP’s sidelined leader Sanjay Joshi Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was his leader. Joshi also defended the BJP on the issue of Ram temple in Ayodhya saying it was matter of faith and it has no connection with politics of votes.

During his tenure as the Gujarat chief minister, pressure from Modi had reportedly kept Joshi away from BJP national executive.

Since then Joshi has been sidelined by the party.

Joshi was the chief guest at a seminar — nationalism and Indian culture, basics of social equality — organised by a group of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers and BJP workers under the banner of Deen Dayal Sewa Pratisthan on birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. RSS Vibhag Sanghchalak of Lucknow Jai Krishna Sinha presided over the event.

In his address, Joshi praised Modi for getting international recognition for yoga. Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the event, Joshi reiterated that he has been an active worker of BJP and Modi was his leader.
