FIR against Cong candidate from Deoria

An FIR has been registered against Congress candidate from Deoria for allegedly beating up a BSP worker in a village in the district.

An FIR has been registered against Congress candidate from Deoria,that went to polls in the first phase,for allegedly beating up a BSP worker in a village in the district.

The incident took place last night when Congress and BSP workers clashed over alleged distribution of money to villagers.

The injured BSP worker Kalamuddin was rushed to the hospital where his condition was stated to be stable.

“We are inquiring into the matter and trying to acertain the exact cause of incident”,a senior police official said.

Defending their candidate,Congress workers said the police was “unnecessarily” harassing Yadav.
