The police have registered an FIR over Tuesday's flyover collapse against officials of the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation Ltd, a government-run entity that has faced criticism also in the past over the standard of its work.
BJP Councillor Davesh Moudgil then took up the agenda in the House (a table agenda) and said that it was difficult for the residents to pay hefty charges. He had requested that the societies be allowed to pay domestic charges on water usage till then.

An FIR for Lala Ram's killing has been lodged with the Lakhimpur Kheri police by his family from Gulauli in which four people, including his wife Roli's father and brothers, have been implicated in the crime. The accused are absconding, police said.
Lucknow, Feb 16 (ANI): A body of a Class 12 girl, who went missing on February 10, was recovered this morning from near Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's residence here. The girl had left for school on February 10 and when she did not return, her parents filed an FIR. The girl was allegedly sexually assaulted. Lashing out at the UP Government, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya said this incident shows how irresponsible is the state police and government. Echoing similar sentiments, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Suresh Khanna said the girl was found dead in a drain between DGP headquarters and CM's residence, still no serious measures have been taken till now.
Ghaziabad, Feb 11 (ANI): Ghaziabad Police on Thursday confirmed that they have launched a search operation for a 23-year-old woman, who her family claims was allegedly abducted by an auto driver on Wednesday night. Superintendent of Police Salman Taj Patil on Thursday said that Dipti Sarna, who works in an office in Gurgaon, Haryana, may have been abducted by the auto driver from the main bus stand at Ghaziabad. He said that Dipti's family has filed a case with the police station at Sihani Gate in which they have said that she was speaking to a friend on her mobile phone and suddenly started shouting as the auto driver took a wrong route. He also that Dipti's family had informed the police that they usually came to the bus stand to pick Dipti up and then go to their home in Vaishali. Lucknow, Feb 10 (ANI): Following the death of a lawyer in Lucknow, hundreds of lawyers in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh went on a rampage to protest against the alleged murder of an advocate of the Allahabad High Court. The violent mob destroyed dozen of vehicles and set two buses and a building on fire. A lawyer, Shravan Verma, was allegedly murdered in the Naka area of Lucknow. An FIR has been registered by the local police and three arrests have been made in connection with the case.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred on January 17 when Alam allegedly misbehaved with the couple on board the train. An FIR was registered against him with GRP Patna the next day. The MLA was allegedly travelling without ticket and was drunk. A footage of the purported incident was also aired by the media. Meanwhile, Sarfaraz Alam after reaching Railway Police Station, maintained his stand and said that allegations against him are baseless.

Patna, Jan 22 (ANI): Commenting on the molestation case against Janata Dal-United (JDU) MLA Sarfaraz Alam, Bihar's Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav on Friday said he should be thrown in jail. An FIR was registered against Alam for misbehaving with a woman passenger on the Guwahati-Rajdhani Express on Sunday night.The case was filed at GRP police station in Patna, and Alam has been booked under sections 341, 323, 290, 504 and 354A of the IPC.
