(Photo/Facebook/Kameron Turner)A tragic accident in Ohio has left a family heartbroken after their 7-month-old baby girl, Elizah Turner, was killed by one of the family’s three pit bulls, according to a report by the New York Post.
The baby’s mother, Mackenzie Copley, shared her grief in an emotional Facebook post. “I will never understand why!!!” she wrote, alongside photos of little Elizah cuddling with the dogs. “I am so lost and broken. This was the same dog who was side by side with my baby every single day.”
Her partner, Kameron Turner, also expressed his pain online. “Life is so not fair,” he wrote. “How can I continue living without her.”

According to New York Post, the exact details of the attack remain unclear. Police confirmed that the child was bitten and that “the situation escalated quickly,” but they did not specify which of the three dogs was responsible.
Franklin County Animal Control took the dogs into custody and is now investigating before deciding what will happen to them.
“Elizah’s face would light up the room and her laugh was contagious,” read her obituary, quoted by New York Post. The baby was described by her parents as “never without a smile.”
Columbus Police Sgt. James Fuqua told local outlet WBNS, “There is really not a lot of words I can say to convey how I feel.” He added, “Everyone in this process is literally grieving as if this child belonged to us, because most of us are parents and can’t imagine just how this scene is.”
The heartbreaking incident has stunned the community and raised fresh concerns around pet safety, especially involving young children.
