China, Turkey should enhance security cooperation, Xi says

China and Turkey should strengthen cooperation in the area of counter-terrorism, Chinese President Xi Jinping told his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday, according to the Xinhua state news agency.

Both countries should also seek new cooperation opportunities in new energy, 5G technology and biomedicine, Xinhua quoted Xi as saying.

Xi and Erdogan were meeting on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in the northern Chinese port city of Tianjin.
