Delhi traffic advisory for Beating Retreat Ceremony 2025: The traffic may be impacted from 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM today, on Wednesday, and Delhi Police has advised people to avoid routes around Vijay Chowk and the New Delhi region.

The Delhi Police has issued traffic advice for the upcoming Beating Retreat Ceremony on January 29, 2025, at Vijay Chowk as part of Republic Day celebrations.

Because the event will be held at Vijay Chowk, adjacent to the Parliament building, surrounding roads like Raisina Road and Kartavya Path will remain closed to regular traffic.

Vehicle travel will also be prohibited from 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM on Rafi Marg, from the Golden Mosque to Krishi Bhavan, Raisina Road from Krishi Bhavan to Vijay Chowk, Dalhousie Road, and Rajpath from Vijay Chowk to C-Hexagon.

Various arrangements have been made to illuminate Rashtrapati Bhawan, North Block, South Block, and Parliament House.

The Delhi Police have recommended people follow the alternate routes around Vijay Chowk and the New Delhi region; the following are the traffic advisories provided by the Delhi Police for the Beating Retreat Ceremony 2025:

Delhi Advisory for Beating Retreat 2025: Traffic will not be permitted on the following stretches:

Rafi Marg connecting R/A Sunehri Masjid and R/A Krishi Bhawan.
Raisina Road from R/A Krishi Bhawan to Vijay Chowk.
Beyond R/A Dara Shikoh Road, R/A Krishna Menon Marg, and R/A Sunehri Masjid, proceeding towards Vijay Chowk.
Kartavyapath connecting Vijay Chowk with the “C” hexagon.

Alternative routes:

The general public and vehicles are encouraged to use other routes such as Ring Road, Ridge Road, Aurobindo Marg, Madarsa T-Point, Safdarjung Road – Kamal Ataturk Marg, Rani Jhansi Road, and Minto Road.
