As an extended family awaits the birth of a little one, their heartwarming maternity shoot depicting their legacy has gone viral on social media. Photographer Jibin Joy, while travelling with his pregnant wife, Chinchu PS, thought of bringing their grandparents and parents together for the photoshoot. The maternity shoot set in picturesque Vagamon in Idukki has gone viral on social media.

Laced with love, the video shows the 87-year-old man kissing his wife’s forehead. As she looks at him affectionately, he showers her with love in the scenic background. Clad in chattayum, mundu, the 80-year-old woman Chinnama holds her abdomen cautiously like a pregnant woman. As the sun shines bright, parents of the couple, Joy George, 60, Thresiamma Joy, 59 and Sabu PT, 55, Sujatha Sabu 47 also strike the same pose, followed by the pregnant woman and her husband. Wearing a gown, the young woman smiles brightly as her partner showers her with affection.

Speaking to indianexpress.com about the photoshoot, Jibin said his grandfather was very enthusiastic about the shoot. The octogenarian has been passionate about acting since a young age and had worked in dramas. Last year, he acted in director Basil Joseph’s Jane Man. George Chacko said, “I was very happy to be part of the shoot. It was not difficult at all. Four generations have passed and now we await the youngest daughter-in-law’s baby.”

Jibin said he was brainstorming ideas for the maternity shoot and as he listened to the song in Romancham movie while travelling with his wife, the idea sparked in his mind. He took his family from Mundakayam in Kottayam to Vagamon and wanted to show the generational shift through the everyday costume.

Chinchu, 27, said the shoot has received rave reviews. The nine-month pregnant woman is quite delighted with the shoot and the positive response from everyone. She said that Jibin wanted to do the maternity shoot and discussed ideas with her. Finally, they decided to execute this concept and it has come out well.
