A video of an elephant family napping in the deep jungles of the Anamalai Tiger Reserve has stunned the Internet. Shared by IAS Supriya Sahu, the stunning aerial video captures the elephant and its calves blissfully resting.

The video shows a parent elephant, a young elephant, and three claves, one of them a newborn. The video also captures one of the calves stretching its leg, swiftly resting it on a siblings’ neck. The young elephant seemed to be on guard.

“A beautiful elephant family sleeps blissfully somwhere in deep jungles of the Anamalai Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu. Observe how the baby elephant is given Z class security by the family. Also how the young elephant is checking the presence of other family members for reassurance. So similar to our own families isn’t it,” Sahu wrote on X.

The video garnered over 33,000 views on the platform. Reacting to it, a user commented, “What a wonderful and hear warming sight ! Its a desktop wallpaper and can be used to bring the wildlife awareness among the new generation.” Another user wrote, “If you have noticed 1 of the calf puts legs over the older just how human kids put their legs over their parent while sleeping. Super cute.”

On May 15, singer Hariharan shared a video on Instagram showing an elephant climbing a stool first to board the loading truck. Later, a second elephant climbs the stool, turns around, and then boards the truck. It also lifts the stool with its trunk and then loads it.
