Several users agreed to the mother's demands. Mother’s Day is around the corner and children may be planning surprises for their mothers. While the commercialisation of the holiday led to buying expensive gifts for mothers, a Punjabi woman has outrightly rejected such plans. Instead, she asked her children to do the household chores, stay away from social media and make her happy. The Punjabi woman’s rant has gone viral on social media and has won hearts.
The clip was shared by Sonia Katri whose Instagram bio says she is a Punjabi mom who loves to make people laugh and dress up. The clip shows her speaking in front of the camera and she says she does not wish for any Gucci, Prada.

She further asks her children to do things that make her happy such as rising up at 6 am instead of rising up at noon. She asks them to take bath, pray, do household chores, and make meals.
Further, she puts forth the demand to not spend the entire day on social media, not order food online for a week and eat whatever she makes. She also demands that no online parcel should reach the house for a week.
“Comments mein apne baccho tag kardo ya ye video unke saath share karo. Shayad kalesh machega but hum Mothers ko to yahi chaiye! Kyun Sahi keh rahi hoon na main? (Tag your children in the comments and share this video with them. Maybe they will create a fuss but we mothers need this! What, I am saying correct, right?),” read the caption of the clip.
Several users agreed to the mother’s demands. A user commented, “So true sister give more lectures to young kids.” Another user commented, “Love your interaction with your kids.” A third user commented, “Best gift ever.”
